After more than one hundred and twenty two hours of gaming, I find myself facing the rolling credits of the JRPG Lost Oyssey. A game I played on and off for about four years.
It’s a very good JRPG and I remember I was so into it when I first started playing. So why did it take me so long to complete? Well, I have a bad habit with RPGs. I like grind level to the point where I can’t bear it any more before I continue with the story. So, many of those hours were spent levelling just before arriving at the last dungeon to save the world from imminent armageddon. The trade off is that I maxed out all my character levels and completed most of the side quests instead.
It’s like unfinished business since I know I will play the Xbox One from now on (unless, heaven forbid) there are problems with my launch console… But let’s not be pessimistic! There are still some achievements locked but I’m happy with the completion ratio I have achieved.
The ending was so long I’m glad I killed the final boss in 2 turns.
