This is one of my favourite Dragon Ball Z ending songs. For it to be used in a trailer for the upcoming Dragon Ball FighterZ game just screams “MUST BUY” to me. It indicates that this is truly a game Dragon Ball fans can appreciate. Oh my god the nostalgia is just overwhelming. All the […]

After being so disappointed with the Netflix live action Death Note movie, I decided to watch the first episode of the anime again. I just wanted to see whether the anime has aged well and if I still like it as much as I remembered. Short answer: yes. It’s so good. I was only supposed […]

When Netflix announced they were making a live action version, I was curious but had a low expectation. The low expectation comes from watching so many other live adaptions of manga/anime. Most are disappointing and they are rarely good. Netflix produces some pretty good content and with their track record, I was hoping for a […]

Wow, I’m seeing some harsh opinions about the upcoming Ghost in the Shell live action movie and it’s not even complete yet. There are complaints of “white washing” and that a Japanese actor (famous or a complete unknown) should play the role of the Major instead of Scarlett Johansson. Err… whaaaat?! I understand people can […]

It’s been awhile since we’ve heard about the upcoming live action Ghost in the Shell movie. I was beginning to think productions have stopped, but luckily, there’s a new screenshot of Scarlett Johansson in character. There’s not much that can be told from Scarlet Johansson’s screenshot, but I’m glad the Ghost in the Shell movie is still being made.
There are negative reactions on the Internet but hey, this is the Internet we’re talking about. People should really wait until they see a trailer or review before judging it because for all we know, this could be a good movie. Just look at Edge of Tomorrow, it’s actually a pretty good movie and is also based on Manga. The story was mostly different but the change worked on the big screen and I enjoyed it. The Kenshin movie’s deviation from the source material did dampen the enjoyment for me somewhat, but it was still entertaining. My problem stems mostly on how much they rushed the third movie and did not develop any of the other characters. They were simply “a bad dude”. We know Anji’s motives and his sad past but you wouldn’t know that just by watching the movie.
So I can’t wait til Ghost in the Shell hits the UK shores.

So after watching the first Kenshin movie I had high hopes that live action Manga movies could work. Sure there were some discrepancies between the movie and Manga but that’s expected. It was acceptable. I even said “this is how to make a live action movie”. But I was so disappointed with the sequel I’m […]

The first time I heard about Kill La Kill was via Melanie Mac’s YouTube video. She enjoyed it and recommended Kill La Kill. So I decided to watch the first episode. I was very surprised with how overly sexualised the anime high school female students were. Especially during the transformation of the protagonist and antagonist. […]
