Ghost in the Shell is a Hollywood adaption of a Manga/Anime back in the 90’s and let’s be honest, my expectations of it was low. Why? Hollywood doesn’t have a very good track record when they try to convert material to film – look at Street Fighter, or even when taking a popular movie from […]

So today a new Ghost in the Shell teaser dropped and it’s based of one of the more memorable scenes of the anime to me (aside from the beginning and the tank fight). I was wondering how the live action would handle nudity and if Scarlett Johansson would even do that. Does that mean they’ll […]

Here are the first teasers released for the upcoming Ghost in the Shell live action movie. There are 5 parts in total each one showing an interesting part of the movie – the characters, the settings, the tone. I’m really liking the look of the movie, it does remind me of the anime/manga. It’s been awhile since we’ve heard about the upcoming live action Ghost in the Shell movie. I was beginning to think productions have stopped, but luckily, there’s a new screenshot of Scarlett Johansson in character. There’s not much that can be told from Scarlet Johansson’s screenshot, but I’m glad the Ghost in the Shell movie is still being made.
There are negative reactions on the Internet but hey, this is the Internet we’re talking about. People should really wait until they see a trailer or review before judging it because for all we know, this could be a good movie. Just look at Edge of Tomorrow, it’s actually a pretty good movie and is also based on Manga. The story was mostly different but the change worked on the big screen and I enjoyed it. The Kenshin movie’s deviation from the source material did dampen the enjoyment for me somewhat, but it was still entertaining. My problem stems mostly on how much they rushed the third movie and did not develop any of the other characters. They were simply “a bad dude”. We know Anji’s motives and his sad past but you wouldn’t know that just by watching the movie.
So I can’t wait til Ghost in the Shell hits the UK shores.

I remember reading the manga a while ago but the story never did stick with me so I stopped reading it after some important events. So when I went to see Attack on Titan, I had already forgotten almost everything about it. To sum it up quickly, it’s a pretty gruesome movie that’s not completely […]

When I first heard about the Rurouni Kenshin movie, I was sceptical because there aren’t many manga/anime to live action adaptations that have been good. But when I saw the third Rurouni Kenshin movie advert on YouTube I was very surprised. Usually, movies that don’t do too well wouldn’t get sequels and for a movie […]
